Hoo Ha Ride Glide was specifically formulated for women, by women. While some companies attempt to blanket the market with a “unisex” chamois cream, Reflect Sports took a whole different direction. They developed a product that specifically addressed the needs of women athletes.
No surprise here, but I am missing the requisite body parts to fully review Hoo Ha Ride Glide. So, I went to the female racers on my team and asked for their honest opinions.
All attested to the fact that the chamois cream addressed major female concerns – namely excessive cooling/tingling. While Hoo Ha Ride Glide does have a slight cooling effect, it is much more constrained, actually adding to saddle comfort. Most testers found that the chamois cream lasted two hours before the need to reapply. In cooler temps this range increased slightly.
Hoo Ha Ride Glide has a silky smooth texture that goes on thin. For the best result, women (as well as myself… hey, I have to be thorough) found that saturating the chamois with cream kept friction well at bay. When applied too thin, Hoo Ha was more moisturizer than anti-friction cream.
Like other attributes of the chamois cream, Hoo Ha Ride Glide’s scent is light and refined. Peppermint and eucalyptus stand at the forefront, supported by hints of lavender and rosemary. Once applied, the cream faded away into the background and was not noticeable while out on the bike.
Female runners and triathletes found the cream to be a good base for reducing friction, though some preferred a thicker cream on the thigh area. In addition, a few ultra-distance road bike riders found Hoo Ha too thin for long days in the saddle.
The verdict: Women have spoken. Hoo Ha Ride Glide has been designed, tested, and approved for ladies everywhere.
